Programme overview:
The Onboarding and Work Readiness (OWR) Programme was developed over several years, specifically for young graduates and new employees, to prepare them for the world of work, by addressing the general lack of skills and attributes that were identified by industry.
This programme is managed and maintained by academics and industry- and education experts in accordance with generally accepted education good practices specified by regulatory and industry bodies.
The OWR Programme includes covers a range of topics and skills that have been identified by a group of large corporations (primarily JSE-listed) as desired and required attributes for new employees and graduate employment. Amongst other, students explore building their personal brand, workplace ethics, communication skills, decision-making, critical thinking, customer focus and creative thinking and innovation.
